Hello all! I have a 2006 Street Glide that is carbureted. The bike always runs great while driving, but intermittently has a poor idle- will fluctuate between 900 rpm and 500-600 rpm and sometimes stall. When the symptom occurs it is only after the motorcycle has been driven for an extended period of time.
- Today leaving the house bike idles and drives normally while leaving town. After an hour on the highway and returning to town at the first traffic light the symptom occurs, and repeats at every traffic light.
- I took a short video of the symptom in action, however the file is to large to upload to the forum.
Also the bike will always immediately restart if it does stall. My only experience with CKP sensors is with automotive, in which case the vehicle would not restart right away.
I uploaded the video to YouTube showing the concern. The instance I caught on video is once I got back home, and was much less severe than most of the times when stopped at traffic lights.
