Engine Mechanical TopicsDiscussion for motor builds, cams, head work, stripped bolts and other engine related issues. The good and the bad. If it goes round and around or up and down, post it here.
I've had one set of heads done by hillside with a cam recommendation from scott that has been great. That being said I know nobody has 100 percent customer satisfaction. I didn't have great results with whats supposed to the top dog around here...my customer service was less than just ok but I pulled up my big boy pants and didn't cry and straightened it out ...with more money of course lol. It's like my grand pa used say " what would ya do if ya broke yer arm in two places??? Stay the hell outta them two places " lol...any way I appreciate both of the responses here...i know sometimes on an open forum when you stick you neck you sometimes get throat chopped lol.
Screamin beagle, Appreciate your honesty... I did pull my pants up and moved on.. No one should have to pay twice to get what they thought they were getting in the first place... Sorry to hear...
So how many builds have you had done by Hillside..
After having witnessed mine and various other cylinders badly scuffed on low mileage builds. I concluded that I had to find a more accurate shop for the machine work for my big inch build. No room for mistakes when spending 10K on an all out effort 150+ hp build. Not only that but issues with money dishonesty gave me every reason to switch to a proven shop with top notch machine work. To each and their own but its hard to argue with customers that have experienced this multiple times first hand.
