Default Fuel Moto Low Compression 124 Kit M8 first impression

This week I installed the 124 low compression kit with my Red Shift 468 cam. I had to buy larger injectors as the maps available from Jaime doesn't have stock injectors. All I can say is I'm very happy with the finish quality so far. Wiseco Pistons were easy to install as they were already gapped. Cylinders were in excellent condition and I measured deck height as .001 which is pretty damn close to zero deck. First thing I had to do was switch the spark plugs out to iridium because detonation was better. Break-in this weekend and no decel popping or leaks. I'm using the stock exhaust decatted with the S&S Grand Nationals with db reducers in. The torque is amazing on this bike now. I used to shift from 1st to 2nd going 20-25mph now it is at 30-35 mph. I added the Muller Slave Cylinder which lightened the clutch lever and I am using stock clutch springs. No slippage so far as I can tell. I will get it dyno this winter though and will put up the numbers. Also I added the A1 ventilator and the Feuling Oil Pump and Cam Plate. Bike is running very cool now. I like to thank Fuel Moto for their help especially from Travis. I wanted more power but to have the torque curve still early and guess what?? This kit is the answer and you can't beat the price and quality service.

Should be fun to ride. Just a suggestion but consider upgrading the clutch before the dyno; the stock clutch will slip and a dyno will be a waste of time. Look at the AIM VPC and/or the Barnett options.

I used original copper and it seemed to struggle at start. Went to the autostore and got iridium since they did not have regular copper spark plugs. Started right away and even felt smoother. My $.02 but I felt a big difference between original copper and iridium.

So, is the 124 compression the same as it is on the lower compression 128 kit? 10.75:1 ?
Jamie has recommended the 10.75 kit for my 114, and I too am using the RS468. I am either going to use the Outlaws, or wait for FMs inserts for the Rineharts.

Looking for all feedback on these lower compression kits, with the Zippers cam and stock heads.

I am torn between going all out, since I am already in there, or just doing the lower compression kit, stock heads, to keep some rideability and longevity in there...

Should still be around 120hp/140tq, which should be sufficient...

You can’t go wrong with the low compression kit. Kept my heads stock and kept my low end torque. Worked with my riding style. I have been enjoying it so far and many of my fellow riders are going with in ths direction vs a Harley Stage 4. I used to shift to 2nd gear between 20-25mph and now that changed to 30-35mph. I can pretty much get ahead of most riders from the start. Now gas mileage suffered. In NYC I am getting 24mpg and highway about 35mpg. The gas mileage will definitely improve once I tune it. Only thing I added was the Muller Clutch Slave Cylinder, Feuling 6.1g/s injectors and Harley Davidson 1275n clutch springs. I am planning to update my intake manifold and TB. But as I said its a great kit and FM will give you a base map to start. And you can change you cam to any bolt in cam to work with this kit whether its RS468,SnS, Woods, TTS,etc.

From the perspective of a potential customer, you seem like one bitter person/business. I've read a few posts over the years of you making snide comments about Fuel Moto. Instead of focusing on them, why not do something outstanding and customer focused to differentiate yourself? Funny thing about the Internet and online forums. Most people post telling stories about problems, poor customer service, over charging, poor return policy, lack of support, etc. I read very few of those issues in regards to Fuel Moto. They obviously are doing something right. I've also never read about them disparaging another company. That's professionalism in my opinion. That's why they've received my business for the few items I've purchased over the years. I do congratulate you on your recent record at Rockingham Dragway, but I'd be hard-pressed to use your services. I think I'd rather go with someone like GMS Racing.

Congrats on your new build !

I am confused ( or ignorant ) you have more torque but you have moved your shift point higher ?
