Engine Mechanical TopicsDiscussion for motor builds, cams, head work, stripped bolts and other engine related issues. The good and the bad. If it goes round and around or up and down, post it here.
The balanced motors have the same issues. The odds are you'll be ok. Remember it's the internet and not alot of people start threads about how their bike has no issues...everybody complains and few compliment. I have an 08 cvo road king that had .003 runout...pretty good in the twin cam world. So I did heads and cams and 7k in the rod bearings went out. Would it have happened if I left it stage one ? Who knows but it's all better now with a darkhorse man o war crank. My grand pappy always said "if it ain't broke don't fix it". Ride the bike and enjoy it...put it out of your mind. If something happens fix it then. Remember for every bad crank there's probably thousands that had zero issues...im just an unlucky bastard lol.
