Default Lucas Oil Change

2006 Flst. I changed oil from Syn3 to Lucas. Now the OP light is on. According to my gauge, I have 30psi OP.
Any thoughts or is it a coincidence.
Thanx

I'm guessing coincidence too. only other thought is maybe the lucas oil is slightly thinner than the Syn3?? affecting the oil pressure slightly??

Isnt viscosity ,viscosity? 20/50 of one brand is 20/50 of another. If the light was on because the Lucas was slightly thinner then wouldn't the light come on with any brand oil after it got warm? Is the light on all the time? If it is and it were my bike I'd start looking to verify that the oil is actually circulating before I ran it for any length of time.

Did you pre-fill the new filter by chance? Usually not a big deal but some bikes are more picky than others.

I don’t have an oil pressure gauge on my Softail but the Road Glide I used to ride had one. I ran Syn 3 and Lucas in that bike and never noticed any difference in pressure between the two.

30 psi should turn the light off. pull the sender and bench test it.
on the oil wording
in the past, when all this hoopla on syn oil started, some bottlers said it "protected like a so&so weight", but really the oil was thinner in vis.
if you look at the api, syn isn't even mentioned, that word is a marketing tool.
