Quick update: So after discovering that the connecting rods were trashed, ordering a new set of S&S replacements and then FedEx losing the box they were in for four days, the crank work & case boring should finally be wrapped up this week. I spoke with Scott Friday morning and it sounds like my Hillside goodies will be headed my direction early this coming week. Once everything’s here the assembly can begin!
Little by little this ended up being more than just an engine build and turned into a “you’re in this far what’s a little more”. So along with the engine, we’ve got a chain drive conversion, radial brake caliper conversion front and rear, Galfer full floating rotors, ARP bolts for just about every hole in the bike, and swapping out the Works Performance for a set of Öhlins HD 764s. Hoping to have the rest of the bike perform as well as the engine should 😂
