2009 Heritage Softail stage one with Vance and Hines dual exhaust and FP3 tuner.
I picked up some new Andrews 48 cams and I need to find some adjustable push rods to compliment them. My buddy says the HD screaming eagles are a great choice. Id like to get a few opinions here first before I pull the trigger?
I have the cams and getting ready to purchase the adj push rods. What else will my mechanic need?
I have the screaming eagle push rods and theyve been trouble free for 30k so far. Get them ftom surdyke or one of the other online dealers for about 150 bucks. You should do inner cam bearings too...koyo for about 15 bucks. Lifters...dont forget the lifters. I had s and s standards for about 25k and had no issues but just swapped tgem out as routine maintenance this winter. Put in high lift from Larry's machine...very nice lifter at a great price. Did i spend enough of your money? Lol.

Where is the best place to score those bearings? Im assuming they are the b148 bearings for my 2009 ?
Picked up my supplies yesterday. I went with everything from the Local Harley dealer. I get a pretty good discount here that its hard to go elsewhere.
SE inner cam bearings- says Koyo on them
adjustable SE push rod kit
SE tappets
Cam cover gasket
Parts guy suggested I upgrade my cam plate to the screaming eagle with the new oil pump. I just didnt have the extra 400.00 for that yet.
Hope Im all set for my Andrews 48 cam install. I drop the bike off with supplies to my mechanic next weekend.
Thanks for all the replies, this is the place I come to learn from the best.
I am sure the parts guy sold you the right bearings but for future reference, those bearings for '07 up are B-168. The $400 saved on pump/plate should be spent on the dyno.

Yes, they are the 168s.
Im going back over tomorrow and grabbing some cam chain tensioner pads. Bike has 32,000 miles so probably not a bad idea to replace those? The parts guy suggested it to me , If you can believe that. No, hes a decent guy and I trust him.
thanks
