Default Wood cam install problem

Got my tw222 cams today. Everything is going good until go to check the sprocket alignment. My bolt for the cam sprocket is super tight going in. As in, wont go more than a couple threads in. So I chase the cam threads, in the new cam, and any other 3/8-24 bolt will go right in. My bolt still wont go in, because the first couple are f'd up. Didn't think i I would need to chase threads in a brand new cam, for a bolt to go in. Anyone else had this problem, with wood or Andrews cams? Now I'm gonna be another day behind, and have to drive an hour to a dealer who actually has the bolt and washer assembly. Damn it.

Run a die over the bolt threads. Super easy.

Did that. The first two threads on the bolt are flattened, and won't sharpen up. Like there dragged thread in the cam. That cam bolt still doesnt want to go in. But any other 3/8-24 bolt will easily thread in. So I dont believe the cam threads are messed up. Just kinda bummed a brand new cam had messed up threads.

This might sound stupid but did you try to turn the die upside down. Some times this helps.

Not stupid, I did try that. Figured the sharper threads might help, rather than the tapered starting side.
