Google bolt torque charts
It will give values for bolts by diameter/grade / thread pitch /finish treatment
I`m assuming 5/16ths NC unplated ?
18ft lbs is close enough
It`s not the space shuttle.

Ill second this. while the book likely has a torque spec, a generic for a standard bolt will more than suffice. IIRC the trans bolts arent 5/16, they are 1/4-20. they are smaller than the exhaust studs that are 5/16. most of these are allen headed bolts, I dont think they are grade 5 or 8 hardened, but either way, the limit for torque will be the aluminum tranny housing. Any time I have mine open, I go good and snug, and thats about it. No reason to go nuts with the bolts as long as it isnt loose and doesnt leak, its gonna be tight enough

I’m sure you are back on the road by now

SCOTT is correct, bolts are 1/4”
my FSM states 10-12 ft lbs for that cover
hard to be accurate with a T wrench that goes to 100 or more
many of us don’t have an inch pound T wrench
so go for nice and snug
