Engine Mechanical TopicsDiscussion for motor builds, cams, head work, stripped bolts and other engine related issues. The good and the bad. If it goes round and around or up and down, post it here.
That dip in torque at 2500rpm is because of the D&D pipe not playing well with the overlap of the 585s. As I recall, the E series pipe also suffers from the same low end reversion. The supertrapp, depending on configuration, can be just as bad and/or further up the rpm range.
When running cams like the 585s, choose your exhaust wisely. It plays a key role in power, or lack of it, depending on how it plays with overlap. 777s too. It can make or break a build.
The intake closing of that Wood 777 will not like that 11.0 cr(?) that the engine is currently at.
At 11.0 a Wood TW-9B would be a better choice, as an example, IF the heads are set to handle those.
T-Man offers a couple cams that would push up the torque also.

Ear plugs/inserts work great but I don't wear them because of pipe noise even though I have a FatCat and an open end no plates Supertrapp.. I wear them because of the wind noise.. And don't worry about the dip.. You really don't ride in that range (2500 and under)....
