Installing a LeNale Fan
I decided to try a LeNale fan to help with the heat in Florida. I like the fan. It is the only one I think looks o.k. on the bike. But installation was not the breeze I thought it would be.
The first issue I encountered was the design of the bracket. The housing is mesh on one side (the side you see) but then there is a bracket on the back that blocks about 40% of the fan. I think if you buy one of these you will want to alter that in some way. I took a Dremel to it and ended up with something more efficient that hopefully will last for a while.
The second issue is the horn relocation. The kit comes with a pipe clamp to use with the stock horn and cover. That didn't work for me; I couldn't get the thing to not move around. So I ended up getting a pie horn at ADAP and mounting it on the frame below the headlight. That seems to work much better.
So if you get one of these those are two things you may want to consider....
