Default Cycos at 28,000

Did a hydraulic conversion on my 2000 FLHT. Here's my Cyco shoes at @ 28,000 miles.

I was just checking on them and looking at the last picture, I'm glad I did. The shoes showed very little wear. I took Andrews TW26s out and put Andrews 26Ns back in.

When you installed the Cyco shoes did you install new snap rings for the tensioner bodies or did you reuse the old ones?

Flat/sharp side of a snap ring faces the direction you do not want it to push off. So on the pin, the flat side would have faced away from the cam plate.

That right there.

Not knowing that makes it 50/50 that the snap ring came off because of an improper install.

I'll go out and look this morning, but I think the snap ring is still on there. Looks more like a tensioner assy failure to me.
