The kits come with extra gaskets/o-rings for different series of the CV plus a few I've never figured out
Photo# 3 - take that o-ring off. The mixture screw should have a small spring next to the threads, small flat washer and smaller o-ring, in that order. The tiny o-ring usually stays stuck up in the carb body. Those 3 parts do not come in any kit that I know of and have to be purchased separately. Don't worry about them so long as they are all in correct order when assembled.
Shake the bowl. You should hear a distinct rattle. If not, more cleaning is required...
That rattle is the check for the accelerator pump nozzle- yes it needs to be free.
I just got a kit off Ebay with the new screw - spring, washer, and O-ring plus all the other stuff. Yes digging out the old O-ring and sometimes washer can be tricky. Paperclip made into a tiny hook in the end works.
FYI it's not my first time, but if anyone is not 100% sure where everything goes, those tiny parts in the bottom of an ultrasonic cleaner are important. Most rebuild kits don't come with instructions.
