I'd think very seriously about trashing the hypercharger, those things are notorious for trouble with vacuum leaks. It would explain a lot of the issues you are having.
The kits come with extra gaskets/o-rings for different series of the CV plus a few I've never figured out
Photo# 3 - take that o-ring off. The mixture screw should have a small spring next to the threads, small flat washer and smaller o-ring, in that order. The tiny o-ring usually stays stuck up in the carb body. Those 3 parts do not come in any kit that I know of and have to be purchased separately. Don't worry about them so long as they are all in correct order when assembled.
Shake the bowl. You should hear a distinct rattle. If not, more cleaning is required...
