Since it's an Evo, start another thread in that section with the model and year and any physical modifications (exhaust, etc) There's a lot of guys there who can offer more specific places to look/check if we know what you're riding.

Thanks for that suggestion. I am on top of adjustments and things being secured and torqued properly.( although I messed up on the rpm setting which caused this entire problem lol) Since this vibration started I have gone over everything and replaced the motor mounts recently as well. Drive Belt and primary chain have been double checked as well. Tires balanced. I am really confident that it is the flywheels so if the compression checks out
thats the route I will take. I appreciate the additional suggestions And realize that when forum members comment on a post they have no Idea if the person asking for help is a Moron or someone that has it somewhat together. I am in the have it somewhat together category. Since I have checked just about everything I was really posting to get input on whether to change the rings and hone or not .
But I appreciate all of everyone’s input and suggestions .

Okay then. Sounds good

One thing I would recommend, if it were mine, since it will already be apart, is using a thinner head gasket when reassembling. 0.030 or 0.036. Available through Cometic or James. A little bump in compression will give a little more pep

thanks tdrglide , I will get the thinner James head gaskets separately and make sure they are within that thickness range.
who doesn’t want a little more pep! Since you mentioned gaskets, I was going to buy a complete James gasket set because I am going to need
all new gadgets when I reassemble and have always had good luck with James gaskets. Have you used a James complete set and if so would you use it again?

I have an update on the compression. Went out and picked up a new thread in type compression tester. Mine was busted so I used my old push and hold in type when I took it initially and it was lower than I thought it would be since I have
edelbrock heads (which I love by the way despite their rarity ) which prompted me to go get a new comp.tester So with the new tester I got 166 in the front and 170 in the rear. Plenty of compression and
well under the 10% variance.
My evo can hold its head high.
Its got a little juice!
