After I completed this project on my 2002 Fat Boy with the DK Customs kit, I got to thinking that the breather my my wife's 2005 Deluxe has a K&N filter within the stock housing but still had the same factory crankcase vents that put the oily mist into the air filter.
For the price of a little bit of tubing and an eBay filter as pictured below, I fashioned a new vent for next to nothing moneywise. In my opinion the kits are fairly expensive for what they are, no matter where you buy them.
Tubing runs from each stock breather bolt down through the bottom of the stock backplate. Plenty of room within the stock cover and behind the air filter. Breather filter is located just beneath the stock cover an really not too noticeable. It's chrome and doesn't look bad anyway.
