Thanks for the responses guys. I pulled the battery after prepping the bike for winter storage yesterday. There is a major snow storm headed our way 8-12 inches on Thursday so riding season is officially done. On that note if my shop is empty I'm going to do what you guys have suggested and see what happens. I will return and post an update.

put the battery on a charger (not a maintainer) over night and try again.
