I have my top end removed, doing some work to the motor.so at this point I was checking the run out on crank and my cam had came out.now I can’t find a video telling me how to reinstall it without having the timing marks lined up before removing.any info here would be appreciated…95 dyna..ev27 cam
Just turn the crank till you get the timing mark at 12 noon on the pinion gear and the slip the cam in lining up the mark on the cam to the mark on the pinion gear... Just make sure the breather gear lines up with the other mark on the cam gear... There is no other way to do it.. Very Simple.

On another note I’m getting my heads done and was wondering what kind of valves and springs to buy I have a ev27 cam has a 495 lift..is there certain brands to stay away from?

If your going to get the heads done them you should have the machine shop set the heads up to accept up to .600" cams with AV&V Valves 1.90" Intake and 1.61" exhaust with BeeHive springs.. Do it once..

here’s a quick run down on what I got going on
i Baught the bike with no info on mileage or anything.first week I found it burning about a quart every 100 miles.find both cylinders were 30 psi low so I removed the top end to get cylinders bored.then found my 1 valve not sealing do to all the carbon.
I checked the runout on crank and I’m at .007 out
so I was told not to hype it up or I’ll destroy my crank
so know I’m just getting stock pistons and having the heads clean up.new guides valves and springs
..so in your opinion use the valves and springs you suggested above?..and if you have any other suggestions I’m all ears…
If your keeping it all stock, I wouldn't worry about the upgrades but your machine shop should be able to give you a better idea than I can.. He can see the heads.. I can't.. As for .007 runout on the crank, if that's the pinion side it's quite a bit.. Be ready for cam gear wine.

I went ahead and pulled the rest of the motor to go have the crank rebuilt so I can actually do something with this motor
so if you have any other mods you think I should do at this time..lmk..also..is the specific gaskets to get..brand,thickness..
