2008 ultra no start!!
Hey guys,
Had a loud ticking coming from cam chest. Went in looked everything over and readjusted pushrods. Got it all back together. Went to start it and it cranked a while, but finally started up. Idled great, revved up great. Pulled out of shop and shut it off, to go wash up. Came out and she won't start, just cranks and cranks.
Verified spark and fuel. Noticed volt gauge was at 11.5v, stock gauge and digital gauge.
charged battery up to full charge, turn key on and still 11.5v.
found positive post on battery was cracked, so replaced battery. Still 11.5v when turned on. Checked all connections and grounds. Nothing changes.
Tried cranking again, if you twist throttle it will cough like it wants to start, but won't.
What could put a draw on system like that? Would bike not start if voltage low? Thought maybe timing was off a tooth, but did run great the one time it started.
Any thoughts or opinions to look at?
