From a tire perspective, I’d suggest getting the stickiest street tire you can. I’m running 10s in the 1/4 on stock Dunlops but bike spins through first and second on the street. You’ll be making more power than me. Avon cobra chrome is my go to for performance Harleys but I’ve not tried every single tire out there. Never liked the Metzeler 880 or 888 tires for a hot bike but the cruise techs I’ve not tried.

837b is a nice grind, I had one once but never ended up using it. What’s your static comp? I’d be open to more cam given 133 cubes and your power goal. Your tuner’s dyno seems very generous. I don’t see 170/170 with that cam on an honest dyno but if going for 170/170 on his dyno, diff story.

Gorgeous bike and should be a blast to ride.

I think that’s just dumb money. If your heads weren’t done properly or if there’s something wrong internally or maybe a cam selection or as somebody mentioned in the first few posts, pipe selection, that’s about all I’d do. Because magically turning it into a 135 with the same parts isn’t gonna give you any more power but maybe six or 7 hp.

I would guess that what you’re missing is they either creeped the compression way up put in a different pipe a different cam and they’re not running pump gas. In fact, that’s probably ethanol free hundred octane, gas that it’s tuned to to make those numbers.

Sorry, if I sound grouchy or annoyed, but I get kind of caught up in all these ridiculous people talking about Dyno sheets. It’s just the stupidest thing ever. Go to the dragstrip. That’s what fast is. These Dyno sheets mean nothing it’s a game, and it digs everybody’s wallets, and they all bloviate and pound their chest and act like they’re making all this power, and then they show up at the dragstrip and they’re not even fast is my shovel. It’s just stupid. Your agonizing talking about $8000 over six or 7 hp. Horsepower.
Top end is stock now. Im doing heads crank and different cam clutch and transmission. I honestly dont care much about the numbers im after a bullet proof bike with what ever power I get. Not taking the bike to strip. The bike will be a daily driver and red light to red light.

Thanks for chiming in. Yeah the numbers are added bonus Im really just wanting a bullet proof daily driver with red light to red light power. I wont be upset if i dont get the 170/170 Im not 100% sure on this but Im pretty sure with how the bike is set up now with a 475 cam the comp is 10.8 to 11 again not 100% sure.

What are the specs on the 837B cam? They don’t seem to be posted anywhere.

That leaves an awful lot of information out. Hoping for all opening and closing points.

When I pop into these threads I get the impression everyone thinks their redline is 4000 rpm. You know with 150 at the rear wheel, if your aggressive you’ll lift the front wheel off the ground at anything more than 4500 rpm.. they do run above that..

If you’re making an honest 130+ you really don’t need more if your not at the strip.

I personally have a bit more than 130/130 and I truly need about 20 more of each on my 128" 850lb touring bike. Most good running stage 2 lighter softails can pull on my heavy sled. 150/150 combination would rectify that.
I also have a very light "built" 80" Shovel on a very light Pohco hardtail that can runaway from my sled as well.

And truly no such thing as too much power if it has very good manners (easily controlled with throttle) from takeoff and @ any speed as long as you are able and of sound mind.
