The only thing I know for sure was the exit line from the regulator to the quick disconnect was broken. I know that line and the line from the pump to the filter have a history of rubbing against the assembly and developing loss of pressure from holes but have never heard or seen the exit line broken. The other thing noted on removing the assembly from the tank was the "sock" at the bottom of the pump; it had completely come apart but there was noting notable floatin in the tank so I assumed the filter may have been clogged with the sock material; don't know that to be the case though. I also found an unknown rubber item in the tank; no idea where it came from and could have left the factory that way. Could be that the broken line was the only source but I had the assembly out so I replaced everthing even though the pump, filter and regulator could have been OK; didn't want to take any chances.
