Default This sound is driving me nuts

Youtube link Of the sound..this is my bike. . Starts about 20 seconds just before the fan kicks on.

https://youtu.be/XaVx5Fk-RZ0?si=hK41uD7lNhdEQ2YM

I have a 2024 rg 117. 10k miles this sound has been happening since 2k miles. Since 2k both base gaskets have been replaced and stage 2 511 cam and lifters .these were kind of unrelated ,but i thought maybe the issue would be resolved. Base gaskets were changed under warranty as the rear had a seep. They pressure tested it and found the rear had a leak and did front and rear.

This is my 9th harley and its not a normal sound . You will have to listen close and to the whole video but it starts around 20 seconds.

I pland to take it in after this riding season ...I refuse to before unless it blows...preferably id fix it myself if its somewhat simple.

yes it only does it when hot. Theres a little tick when cold but doesn't sound abnormal to me. The sound im hearing when hot isn't quite in sync with the engine. It almost sounds like air or electric arc

Well, I don't know then.. the only thing I can hear in the video is valve/rocker noise.. When you replaced the cam with the 511's (who makes that cam? Is it the SEM8-511) did you replace the valve springs? I'm really not an M8 guy but I have herd of a couple of spring issues but can't remember what they were but did lead to spring breakage. I would think with the lift of the cam, Hi-lift springs are necessary.. That's all I got..

are the "stage 2 lifters" solid lifters? If so a quick Google search for "adjusting harley davidson solid lifters".

Some of it may be rocker related, sounds a bit excessive to be that though. I shimmed mine,

but even after shimming to .003” I still have a very pronounced ticking. It’s to the point that I can’t enjoy riding it because all I hear is that dang tick!
