So here's an update for everyone. Shop opened her back up, inspected everything and didn't notice anything out of the ordinary. No scars or burns, no missing or chewed up o-rings, not even one bit of forbidden glitter. They swapped the oil pump with a replacement (another Drag Specialties). Yay warranties! And a few hours ago I was told everything is fixed. Running great with plenty of oil pressure. So here's hoping i get more than 150 miles outta this pump lol.
So how did the pump fail? Did you get a chance to look at it? Was it a cracked rotor? If so did they check runout? Generally if a feed rotor cracked, it either ate something it didn't like or there may have been excessive runout.. I guess the rotor could have simply been defective and cracked by itself.

Unfortunately I did not get a chance to look at the pump. The runout was checked again and its the same as it was when the original pump went out (thank goodness for legible notes).
