Default Not good!
I adjusted my pushrods as per the instructions and they bled down and spun by hand. When I started it up it's knocking real loud. New pushrods, lifters, and cam chain adjusters. I adjusted the pushrods tdc of compression stroke and the lifters were both low and not moving. Did my pistons hit the valves? Is there a way to check?

your lifters probebly havent pumped up yet. they make a hell of a racket for the first coupel minutes till they pump back up again. if the push rods spun freely then i wouldnt worry about your vlaves hitting the pistons you'd know really quick if that happend

Compression and leak down test will tell if you have a bent valve.

Did you soak the lifters in a tub of oil to prime them to get the air out of them before you put them in the bike? Stock lifters are 200 thousands I believe and the pushrods are adjusted down to 100 thousands which is half way and oil pressure does the other rest. if a lifter bleeds down and on start up it will be noisy meaning pushrods are moving around until oil fills the lifter and make it zero lash on valve train

The noise is loud! Not a ticking sound but more of a bang. I forgot to mention I replaced the rear rocker box gaskets also. It starts right up and has oil pressure but the sound is hart stopping and shut it off after a few seconds.

And yes, I soaked the lifters in oil for about a week. They only took a few minutes to bleed down. One bled down as I adjusted the pushrod.

Yes. 2 1/2 turns for the screaming eagle ones. Can it be caused from the rockers?

Did you have the pushrod in the rocker properly in the cup ? If not it's possible you could have bent a valve
