Congrats on the bike. Good choice. My Heritage has been bored .030, EV27, stock comp pistons, headwork and heads decked. I get 48ish mpg 1-up. For the Interstate, I wish I had a OD6. Maybe someday.

Scott on the EV3 vs the 27 which did you like better? never even thought of the 3 cam.we just used the 27 or the wood6 most of the time.

the 27 is more plentiful imo for finding one cheap.

Crane had a nice bolt in cam but cant remember the# we used a couple in bikes.

been several years back but they were always fun to make these changes to. seemed to wake them up a bit.

Best of luck Travis

Travis,
That 3 cam was a mainstay years ago.
Did not strike quite as hard(on paper)as the 27, but it would roll out a tick farther.
And really the 46 in a lighter bike, optimizing the compression, is quite a cam also.
It's all how you set them up.
Have a good Memorial Weekend!!
Scott

Agreed, it'd be nice when cruising around 77-78 on the interstate. I don't know what the other comment was regarding hurting performance. The bakers are geared the same in 1st through 5th gear unless you get the close ratio tranny. 6th gear is strictly an overdrive to allow you to cruise at 55-60mph rpms at 70-75.
