I have 2010 fatbob. harley Shop did the CVO 110 upgrade in 2012. I already had T Max autotuner
Last winter I installed Red Shift 527 cams, adjustable pushrods, dual cam chain tensioner, new hyd lifters, axtell oil bypass, and VH pro pipe. I have alot of valve train noise and readjusted pushrods--- no change. Did go on bike tip all good but not 100% happy with cams. Tops out at 105mph with me or with me and wife on bike. Noise is comparable to a stage 4 setup HD dealer has here.
So what I'm looking at doing this winter is the pro stage 3 Screaming eagle kit------10.5:1 pistons, and the SE 259 cams. Will keep T Max tuner.
Now I also heard all new HD bikes went back to the 2009 and older hyd lifters which have less valve train noise. I want to go into this and do it once. The 110 heads also flow good without modification??
I'm looking for reliable bike for trips. Any thoughts fellas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
So, you took a more than reliable build for the Dyna platform and jacked it all up. Now you need a competent builder and tuner cause you evidently don't know what you're doing. You've got the wrong set-up for that motor and then you're out riding @ 105 with your OL on the back and she hasn't DI-vorced your azz yet? Wrong cams, wrong heads, wrong pushrods, and most likely the wrong lifters.
A set of either Wood 8 cams, or a set of S&S .585's, 10.5 pistons and some mods to those heads with be a HUGE change in power if tuned correctly.
A 55-58 mm t/body would be a great power upgrade as well.
Scott
Thanks Scott. I was looking for some info other than what the Harley dealer reccommends.
To the first reply on this post That was a complete kit from zippers performance. For the record 105mph observed passing only. Im not looking for personal opinions. I'm not looking for personal opinions

The 110 heads are pretty much boat anchors out of the box. As Scott suggests, work those heads, pass on the HD cams and, if budget allows, have your TB bored or get a larger one. If you are allergic to valve train noise, avoid the Woods cams. The 585 Scott suggest is a good on but there are some TMan cam options as well. Gaterman, Woods, S&S standard or premium lifters to replace the HD lifters as well.
Pass on the HD kit and listen to Scott; work with what you have and make it a work horse.
