set up @ 10.0-1,it should be a very nice build.we use the .570 S&S on our 107" kits with our heads with great results.don dose nice work, you`ll be very happy
Taking a 96 up to s&s 106 570ez cams with a set of Dewey heads
Anyone running anything like this?
Yes, we've built quite a few now with that combination, and as a matter of fact, we have been running a special with those in E-Z Start form, our 107" kit, K&N oil filter, Barnett clutch spring, NGK plugs, S&S pushrods.
$1160.00 w/o heads, but most folks opt for at least our Stage I when doing this, but our Stage III Super-Tour Head is just the ticket with those.

Put the same cylinders on my 96" with S&S 89cc heads, 58MM throttle body, 583 cams and stealth filter. Changed the exhaust from Big Shots to Fat Cat w the smaller baffle. Pulled a PCIII and had the system tuned on a TTS.
I had about 85HP/97TQ with the V&H and PCIII. When I got it tuned after the pipe change, it came in at 94HP/112TQ. Everyone that has ridden it is very impressed with the way it pulls. I had hoped for a little more HP but with that torque number, would it make that much difference? I'm very happy with the results. Tuner told me I'd have to change cams to get the HP up and I don't want to.
I need to do a complete write-up soon and include the jpgs of the dyno sheets.

I would expect a bit more HP & TQ w/ that build, but as long as u r happy with how it rides and the way you cruise then that's all that matters.

So what does one do to get higher numbers with the parts I have?
I can think of three or four small changes but all are expensive relative to the gains now that the build is complete. Different cams, head work, thinner head gasket and a different baffle in the pipe.
I believe anything anyone suggests can help the OP and others who read this when they plan this work.
Does tq come on fairly early with this set up at 10.1 and dons street pro heads
decent TQ will start at around 2700 with the .570`s.if your looking for TQ coming in a bit lower, you may want to look into the S&S .583`s,set them at 9.8-1
