Default Need an outer primary gasket...Cometic or?????

Just wondering what good aftermarket gaskets are out there. I hear a lot about Cometic but just seeing what else is out there. Pros and cons of them appreciated. My bike is a 97 Dyna. Thanks.

I use the cometic gaskets for the motor and the foam/metal ones for my primary.
You can get the foam/metal ones at your local dealer.

Beat me to it, Spanners. The old cardboard primary gaskets used to "wet through" on the edge, but I've used the modern rubber coated metal gaskets for years without a drop leaked.

I was not sure if stock meant the cork gasket they used to put in there or the new foam/metal ones.

I tried a cork one once and didn't like it.

The cardboard types were the ones I'm trying to avoid. If the new stock Harley ones are better, that's what I'll go with.

I think the foam/metal gaskets are the new stock ones and they work great.
If you don't tear it up you can use it several times. I have with no problems.

Cometic gaskets hands down! I've opened the primary on my Evo a few times changing clutch plates and springs. Still same Cometic gasket and no leaks.
