Default 98' flhrc efi no fire???
Help! Got a 98' FLHRC EFI that was running one minute, turned it off, refueled & now won't start. Tried spraying a little quick start in throttle body & nothing.
I can hear the fuel pump activate when I turn ign on, but then it cranks & cranks but won't start.
What's ya'lls gut feeling on this one? Thanks.

The next thing would be to check for spark....

Just walked out & it started right up. Crazy!
Had no spark yesterday when trying to start it then today it decided to fire right up. Temperamental son of a gun isn't it!

Was it raining when the bike wouldn't start?
If your coil has a small crack and water gets in it you will loose fire.


Just a thought.

Ignition module in nose cone failing, they are known to start melting and oozing fluid out of them in M&M EFI after some years

I'd also check the crank position sensor. Had a similar situation on my Springer and it was the CPS...

CRANK POSITION SENOR...the connector...Throttle side...under plastic painted cover...under seat...triangle frame area...connector gets loose.

or

the cam sensor is melting..timer cone area by foot..see melted goo at bottom wire exit.
