Default New (to me) Heratage

G'day All.

New to the forum..so hello.
I am picking myself up another Evo Tomorrow night, 1991 FLSTC.
Be good to be back on another EVO, still have my 96 Sporty.
Just wont to ask a question....any concerns or traps I should look out for in these older Heratage's? I have test ridn the bike and given it a good look over, it is a credit to the previouse owner as it is in very very good condition.
Only has 35000Km's on the clock.

Cheer's
Dave.

First congrats on the new (to you) bike.
Second are you really asking us to spend your money????????????
Just open that wallet and we can have that bike screaming down the highway after a few $k!!!!!

Have a look at the ignition switch. Also check the battery connections and grease the steering head. I have a 95 Heritage with a few things done. The only way I will get rid of it is if it is wrecked badly and mangled. I did some mild engine work last fall and it just made what was there even better. Great old bikes.

Also Works Performance light duty shocks will improve the ride.

G'day mate!

There aren't any particularly grievous issues concerning your bike, other than almost unpredictable mechanical bits that we all have experienced. Thats where these members here will come in handy, trying to help you diagnose and repair anything that draws your attention.
Here is one standard tip: A Factory Service Manual is a great investment in knowledge as well as money saved.

Tks for the reply's.
Yeah I can see the wallet getting lighter Lol...but that's what Harleys do.
I will keep the old Sporty, love them to much, had an old 79 XLCH for 14 yrs and another Evo Sporty before this one.

She already has the shocks you mentioned and has been adjusted "real" low.
I will post up some picks ASAP.

Cheers.
Dave.
