Base gasket weeping

My bike pretty much sat for 12 years before I bought it from the original owner's wife 2 years ago. My base gaskets starting weeping shortly afterward and haven't gotten any worse in the 14k miles I've put on her. I would just keep an eye on it if I were you, unless you had plans for other mods that require tearing into it.

Nice Brit Youtube vid on teardown and reassembly. I'm about to do this on a '90 Softail. It's base-leaked since I got it at 36K miles and have another 12K on it now. It weeps and "tweets" and you can see it bubble now and again.
