Recently redid the top end on my 80" evolution. Got all the way back to the point where I was putting my rocker boxes back on. I got all 4 rocker arm bolts torqued to spec.
I can stick my finger in the rear rocker box and I can spin the stock push rods in a circle. I have number one cylinder at TDC and on the forward cylinder I cannot spin the push rods with my finger.
My tried moving the position of the cam and still nothing. The bolts had lock tite on them, I cleaned them to make sure I'd get the proper reading on my torque wrench, still nothing. Still can't turn the damn push rods. I'm ready to pull my damn hair out.
Any of you evo guys have any solutions or advice? I was told I cannot adjust my valves on an 80" because they are self adjusting. I know I can't go any further with the rebuild because I gotta get those front push rods to spin. I'm at a dead end and I refuse to let someone else fix my bike. Please help... any adivce is appreciated.
Edit - I also had no valve train problems before I took the motor apart. The top end was just tired and I decided to rebuild it before I blew it up somewhere and got stranded.

Do you have the correct pushrod in each location? Did you happen to notice if your's were color coded? One of the members posted this guide a while back, perhaps it will help you.
Are you on TDC compression? I am not sure if it is safe to turn motor if you have have it on TDC exhaust or if you have your pushrods mixed up, do you still have the rocker boxes off? If so look at rocker arms, if they are compressing valves I would first check pushrods color codes or lengths, if correct then possibly you are set on exhaust stroke, cam needs to be on base circle, not on lobe. Others better versed than I am will let you know about turning motor over, but I think i would loosen bolts and let pressure off of pushrods first, then check cam position versus TDC.
After reading your second paragraph a few times,
and if there is no typos, and the pushrods are in the correct positions,
you can only spin the pushrods that are on the cams base circle.
You may be on TDC on #1, but not on the compression stroke
For stock pushrods the colors go like this, front exhaust Green 11.325", Front Intake Yellow 11.090", Rear Intake Blue 11.045", Rear Exhaust Purple 11.210". it should get you to where you need to go...

Did you follow the Harley manual procedures for this or did you wing it .?
What do you mean by " you moved the position of the cam " ???
Are you aware that the pushrods will only move at certain motor rotation points .?
I have a shop manual and I've followed each step accordingly. I've tried turning the motor over by hand and I cannot seem to move them at any point. I'm gonna go back down to the garage and try again and maybe I'll get lucky haha. I know the push rods are in the correct order. I'm gonna go dick around with it and I'll let yas know what happens.
