I looked but can not find any other tip sizes on this gun, when I got mine I was sure it was offered in different sizes, however it is very adjustable, and just a nice size for painting bike parts.
Mine has the 1.5 and I spray primer, base and clear with it.

I did some looking too and came up with only 1.5. For 26 bucks Ahh I ordered one just to see.. With the donated primer I can play around with it before I get to shoot my parts.
I got an iwata for about 125 off the bay to use as a primer gun, though I used home Depot guns in the past.
My thinking was the material was getting so expensive, and the cheap guns were laying in rough.
It was using more material and making me work harder, breaking it with a coarser grit.
I have been having good luck with the house brand primers that summit sells, but there is a difference in this and say Sherwin Williams or rm, in the cure time. The cheap stuff you would want to wait many hours to cut s the commercial stuff that you can hit within an hour or two. There is the substantial price difference though
Haven't totally made up my mind about me shooting this or forking out the cash. Gotta do some more cking and learning and reading. Well at least getting the rust off some pretty good OLD skills.

How good were you when you were a "Kid?"
The technich has not changed that much, its just learning about the paint, the pearl is a little tricky, but the skill is still in using the gun.
Do you remember how to color sand, buff?

LOL Probably not as good as I thought I was
Been many years and never really enjoyed the work, that's why I stuck with nuts and bolts for a living.
Have done a good amount of prep work back then and only shot 2 vehicles and 1 bike. The vehicles came out Good, the bike came out real nice. What I have done 4 times in the last 25 years has been getting one ready. An ol friend shot them , sadly he's not with us anymore.
The more I think about it the more I seem to remember the ways and skill needed . That's a good feeling
Your primer gun fluid tip should be 1.4 mm minimum, 1.8 would be better. If you use the liquid bond stuff u need a 2.2 I think.
Clean your garage good, fresh tack clothes, clean the first 10 feet of your airline, wet down the floor, try not to disturb anything when your painting, cover your stands with garbage bags. You can get a pro looking job, prep everything well.
Primer guns has a 2.0
Clean garage Now that's gonna be project all it's own
You've gotten many great tips here so the only thing I'll add is,"PREPARATION" is very important before spraying anything, even though white hides a lot. I spray everything with a 1.5 tip. Waterbased paints can be outstanding!!! However, they require lots of practice to perfect, stick with urethane or enamel and stay away from lacquer and you'll be fine. Wet sand to 3000grit... Be looking for pics!!!!

PREPARATION You are correct and that was what I was taught along time ago. I have the confidence to get it ready to paint. The paint is what I am lacking the confidence to tackle, just never did that part much.
Water based paints were just being pushed when I got out of working in a body shop in 83 or so.
