Solid to spoke rear wheel change

Default Solid to spoke rear wheel change
I recently purchased a ultima 40 spoke wheel off eBay to replace my solid wheel. The wheel hub does not have threaded mounting holes. Is this just a simple nut an bolt application or am I missing sonething? Thanks.

My stock Harley spoked wheel used nuts and bolts to hold the pulley/rotor on.

Yes ^ and I would recommend stainless as opposed to chrome in the hardest grade you can get

Even the hardest stainless steel is much weaker than grade 8 bright zinc plated fasteners. This is no place to compromise.

To be sure, I use a lot of stainless fasteners on my bike in less critical applications, but brake rotor and pulley bolts are two areas I'm not taking chances.

I agree. I should have specified. Stainless nyloc nuts and grade 8 bolts

FWIW, there are Grade 8 stainless fasteners. Here is a primo source:

They have individual fasteners, kits for engines, transmissions, whole bikes, stuff for cars, boats, and more.
