I tried it on the first oil change after I picked up my EVO. Mine didn't like the Lucas 20/50 Syn....kept marking it's spot.

Switched back to dino and the case leak slowed way down.

Mine makes all kinds of funky noises on full synthetic.

I have never even seriously considered synthetic oil for anything. Heard way too many horror stories. Really don't get the hype.

Case in point my old man always went with the high mileage synthetic oil in a van he had been driving until earlier this year. It was a nice van, and ran well. He did not get regular oil changes saying it doesn't need it blah blah blah. Well guess what, he blew his engine. I relate it to nothing but his negligence and that damn synthetic oil giving him false confidence. Hope he learned his lesson. Time will tell, I just went through and serviced a decent pickup for him.

Well, I bought a Toyota RN Truck with 106K on the clock in the early 90's. I ran full synthetic in it. In '06, with 290K on it, the timing chain went and I bent 4 exhaust valves. I figgered that 300K was probably due for a full rebuild and not just a head fix. I should have left the rest alone. The crank needed a light polish. There was .003 taper in the holes. After the rebuild, I ran full synthetic past the first oil change. The rings wouldn't seat , even after 40K miles. I switched to cheap conventional oil and didn't change it. They seated in about 5K and I switched back to full synthetic.

Just not for the bikes. Evo's don't like full synthetic.

Levi's are $125 today. And made in China or some other third world country. $8 for Wrangler's at Wally World. And $20 for 5 quarts of Supertech full synthetic for my cars and truck.

I am not telling you what to run in your bike. I am just offering up a deal on good oil that I am putting in mine at the next oil change.

Lol, well with a whopping 238 miles a year that's been put on that bike I wouldn't expect it to be leaking considering the motor isn't even broken in yet. Those of us who routinely put more miles than that on in a day ride that have been riding these bikes for years and many miles disagree with you based upon experience.

Age and NON-mileage. A well maintained bike that is ridden EVERYDAY and allowed to get warmed up completely each time, shouldn't leak.. at least not for a long time. All bikes will eventually leak after high mileage if well maintained. A bike with 50 miles on it that has sat for 10 years will be leaking before it gets a grand on it, and I'll bet money on it.
