Can someone pls tell a good diy fix for warped rocker boxes .my bike is a 95 dyna wg ..
I have read a lot of threads 1 person wrote very briefly about using 80 grit and 60 grit sand paper on crome boxes . My concern is mine have small ridges on the bottom . If I sanded slowly threw the ridge to a flat surface seems like it would work fine but I just don't know ?
One guy had good luck with this procedure.
Put a shop rag down on a flat concrete floor.
Lay the warped rockerbox on the shop rag then lay another shop rag on top.
Hit it with a hand tamper.
He said it flattened his right out.
I don't remember the thread or who did it but that is what he did.

That sounds like the "at this point, I've got nothing to lose" procedure.
The easiest do it yourself fix is to drive yourself down to the local MoCo stealership and order a new part. Also pick up a new set of gaskets while you're there or order a good aftermarket set online.
From my painful experience with warped rockerbox covers, once they're bad, throw them in the trash.
I've seen a video on YouTube of a guy beating them flat looks like a long shot at best and I suppose if the sanding method worked having them resurfaced at a machine shop would be a common procedure. ...

Before I smacked it id get some flat steel and use a shop press. But eBay is cheap for replacement parts. Be ready if the hammer or press doesn't work. Why not some good gasket sealer. $5 might get you through to winter

I wouldn't recommend the gasket sealer.
If any of it gets loose it could clog an oil passage and then a warped rocker box will be the least of your problems.
