Default windshield dyna

I was wondering about the installation of a detatchable windshield. I mounted the brackets on the front forks and the spring clips sits on the to bracket. Now can you pull the windsheld off alittle bit or do the bracket has to be put up into the windsheild more. Thanks

Got any pictures to show what you are talking about?
What kind of detachable windshield did you install?

Have you actually done this?! Photos please! I have a QD H-D screen on my Sporty that simply clamps to the upper fork tubes. In practice it only comes off to clean it. A current one will probably fit most older bikes, as long as the fork tube diameter is right.
