Default 1997 Bad Boy 262k miles

Here in NZ there is a 1997 Bad Boy that has 262k miles on factory bottom end. One owner bike ridden 6 days a week since new. Go the EVO !!!

Less than 10,000 miles a year. Easy to do if you commute on it. Pleasantly surprised that he hasn't had to split the cases but I'm certain he's had the top end gone through once (or twice.)

(If he's a gentle rider I'm guessing that he hasn't had to touch the transmission either.)

Well, he's got me beat. I'm only at 200K miles on mine. Of course, I have only 109K on the current motor, but the transmission and clutch are original.


Looks like I have a ways to go yet.

You're using a different calculator than I am :>)

18 years old at 10,000 only comes to 180,000 ( at max ) on your figures.

It's up for sale on our equivalent to Ebay. ..the transmission is shot. ..it has had a side car on it for the last couple of years.

Yeah, I was thinking '87. My bad! Still, when I was commuting here in NC mostly on my bike, 20,000 miles wasn't too tough to run up.

I'm impressed with the guys that do that mileage just riding around!
