I replaced only the bulbs as well. This is what i used:

I can tell you that this has given my bike the best light output that it ever has had.

I have been threatening to change lights on mine for a year now.
Have done a good bit reading and comparing lights, bulbs and even thought about HID at one point.

I don't often ride at night tho have been caught running out of daylight more than once. The last time was with some friends and one had trouble with his bike. We got it going but after an hour and a half on the side of the road.

One the guys had an Hid in his Yamaha Venture, plenty bright but a funny blue tint to it. Another had just replaced the bulb with a LED on a Road King. 2 with Led Headlamp assembly's. Me with my plain ol halogen lights.

It was dark Not to mention pretty cold by the time we got back to town. I can say this is . I'll be going with a LED H/L Lots of difference for the better imho. Talked to one of the fellas a few days latter and asked about his LED H/L was told it was a Truck lite.

I just gotta pull the trigger WP
