Default 1990 electra glide radio upgrade

Will a 2000 glide radio work in my 1990? Would like to keep the handle bar controls

For the 90 model I think you may be stuck using a Biketronics setup if you want to use the controls still. The 2000 model radio is about 3 upgrades from your 90. Like my 94 is also.

Take a look at this..

That's for a aftermarket radio which would be my next option. But is there anyways I could splice into harness or are the plugs completely different? Also is there a kit to plug into the back of the 2000 so my 90 can plug into it or is it pretty much a myth?

Hmmm?!?!
What's the difference? Assuming the radio fits the opening then why not! Please follow me here:
12 volt power, accessories, antenna, ground wire, speakers and two wires for controls. I would be nervous only about fitting it in the current opening and then the controls from the handlebars.
Good luck,
Tom

Well the biggest concern is does the plugs in back match up to the radios

My guess is not due to the newer connectors used after 93 on the scoots wiring harnesses. Not to say you can't splice them in, but no clue on the specifics.

Good luck.

There are bunches of posts in the audio sub forum about which wire is which. I'm sure you have the fsm to show you the specifics of yours.
Harnesses are for pussycats...
