Still watching this thread as well as the other in which I noticed you said the digital display can be set up as a voltage meter, I'm wondering if you have to take it out of the dash to do so or if you can toggle between voltage and say speedometer, and can you adjust brightness or does it auto correct for day and night.
It looks great mounted and I hope you don't mind that I turned your picture to look as though sitting on the bike for my enjoyment and appreciation as I view.

Thanx, Someday you'll have to tell how you did that...... I have that problem from time to time...
The toggling is all done from the reset button (no need to remove anything). Press and hold reset while turning ignition on and it puts it into the programming mode. From there you choose what you want to do. Color display, Brightness (no not auto dimming that I know of) once the bike is running you can just toggle to what ever you want to display in the digital readout. I'll attach some pics of the instructions with options later so you can see all that it can do.
It really is a nice tool..
Oh yea, that voltage monitoring, also serves as a low voltage w/warning indicator light. Nice little function there....
Just so you know i didn't hook up all the turn signal indicators and all that was x'd out on the first page. My old speedo works perfectly and i didn't want to cut up the original wiring just In case i want to go back to the original. I also opted to program the original mileage into the odometer...

I think i know what your referring to. Its the signal to the controller that actually cancels the directional...
Does that sound right. ?
Yep. There's a reed switch in the speedo head that sends a signal to the turn signal module regarding speed via the green/white wire. That's the reason your signals will cancel after a certain number of pulses while you are moving, but will stay on indefinitely while you are stopped at a light. In a bagger, the same wire goes to the oem radio for the speed controlled volume.

I'll have to call DD, I left that one disconnected. So I guess they won't auto cancel.
The correction for signal canceling. In the pic the DD wiring 12 pin connector' the white wire vss signal out goes to the hd white/gr for that option....
At times I guess it helps to read a little further......lol...

Doing that would ensure you only have to do the job once..
Where's the fun in that???????????
200 miles and counting. All is working great. Hooked up the white wire for the vss signal and all is perfect. Directionals are working the way they're supposed to. I used to have a chrome brow on the oem speedo but switched to the Black trim and I must say I really like it better. Breaks up the chrome a bit.
One more thing, I think I'll have to hire some one to take it over a buck forty or just do it on the dyno. Not sure I have the ***** to do that anymore....
