Like the vrod, Porsche had a big helping hand with AMF in designing the evo. Most of the electricals came from Japan and a lot of the other engine design points came from porsche, like the spider lock tech for the cylinder sleeves and things like that.

 

Nothing wrong with Japanese technology. It's the Chinese parts that worry me.

 

That is from the beginning to where we are now. First a few things made out of country, now most things made out of country and assembled here in the states.

 

Every Harley for several years comes on Chinese wheels! Before that they were from Oz. Why should anyone worry? Some of us recall when anything Japanese was pilloried - it's all got far too tiresome.

 

Relax. Your 1994 has less imported parts than a 2016.
