THC recommended S&S lifters to me and also suggested I use one piece standard HD push rods although that was late in the evening and he had already had 3 cans of Seafoam. That is the plan.
That's your and TD addiction!!
Mine is Mountain Dew!!!!!!!!!!!
I dont care for the Rocker Locker idea although it probably works. Like THC said, makes dissasembly too difficult. I do like your idea of adding set screws and it makes sense. I guess you just have to make darn sure they dont work themselves out . Too bad Harley couldnt have used a little precision in the design.....

I think a little blue loctite would take care of that!!
It would be so simple for them to install the shaft, drill the bolt hole and shaft together on a CNC machine, and install a bolt with a precision machined shoulder to hold the rocker box down. That amount of slop is unacceptable. Why not design a bolt with as tapered shoulder? As it was torqued down, it would tighten up the rocker shaft. There's a future patent right there. Just remember to share the royalties with me when you market it
the 'rocker locker' is actually a pretty good design, and anyone who's taken apart an evo knows how simple the procedure really is... and it does stop that ticking, if you've chased it and find it coming from the top end

Sets screws are put in from the bottom of the rocker support, can't fall out even if they came loose, set screws are 1/2" long.
I wasn't crazy about the lockers either, and I had the set screws on hand.
