seriously? .... i've never had to do that.... every rocker plate I've ever removed on an evo, including softails, has never required me to disassemble the rockers and shafts

The front isn't the problem but I've never gotten the rear apart without treating it like a jigsaw puzzle!!!!
The first time I tried I spent at least an hour possibly two moving that middle rocker cover all kinds of ways but I could never get it to come out on it's own.
Damn thing drove me crazy!!!!!!!!!
Of course you can still hear some ticking. I'd be worried if I didnt. These engines are noisey but surely you can hear the difference between the way it did sound and the way it sounds now. I am happy with it.

FWIW when I first posted about my inability to get the middle ricker box off by itself Miacycles told me that some bikes are like that so I took it as a normal problem.
