Dyna 2000 advance curves
There's 4 advance curves to choose from on a Dyna 2000 ignition, you'd want the lowest possible but it say's that for modded motors, high temps and crap fuel you'd want curves 3 or 4.
Now I'm wondering what fuel you guys get over there, so I can determine what Dyna means with crap fuel...
Over here hte minimum is 95 octane, 98 octane being my regular and 102 octane a possibillity...
I'm using the dyna on the Superstock 96" so I guess that counts as a modded engine, but I'm not sure if I should use curve 3 or if I could get away with curve 2...

If no ping, then stick with what works the best.
Sounds like you have great fuel in Holland....our "regular octane" is 87, and "mid grade" is 89, and the "premium" is 93 sometimes 94. On rare occasion we can find "racing fuel" at around 104 octane.
If I remember correctly, curve number 1 is the highest (or most) degrees of advance and comes up the earliest, fastest, highest. Switching to 2 retards a little and comes up slower, then 3 a even lower and slower, with 4 as the most retarded.
The dyna 2000 instructions don't show the advance curves in a graph, but the ultima 53-644 manual (link below) does and is the same unit with a different label. And a few links on timing, reading plugs for timing, etc

If you're talking about the speed we actually go then I doubt your speeds are higher!!!!
