Lifter block gaskets
I am doing some winter preventative maint. Throwing in some new lifters (Johnson hi Lift). As I pulled of the blocks the gaskets came of perfect. Looks like the previous owner had been in there not long ago. Has anyone ever read used the lifter block gasket?
While not "best practice", I'm sure it's been done.
That said, for the minimal cost of a new set and considering the aggravation of having to go back in later if the old ones don't hold, putting in new ones seems like cheap insurance.

I have the new ones already. But I have never took anything of of a Harley and the gasket stayed perfect. They are stuck to the lifter block and the case is perfect. Usually they are all tore up and I have to get out the razor blade
