You would probably get better results asking your question in the touring forum.
Over here in EVO land it is the easiest thing in the world to change speedometers.
I'm sorry but I don't know anything that would help you solve your problem.

Trust me, I'm sure I posted in there. lol. This is one of those issues where failure seems to be by design. The shops are all a few weeks out. I need it now! lol
