92' FXR Speedo Drive

Stock cast wheel, I know there is a slot in the brake rotor for the tang on the speedo drive to fit in. Does that have to line up with a slot in the wheel? After PC'g the wheel put it back together but the tang on the speedo drive doesn't fit in the slot of the rotor very well and wants to hang up on the body of the speedo drive.

The notch for the tang should be a loose fit, but not too big. To see if your rotor has to line up with a notch in the wheel you will have to remove the rotor. I don't recall that being the case.

Yeah I never recalled that either, but it's been 20 years since I worked on a Evo bike. Tganks.

There's no slot in the hub, as the tang on the speedo drive is quite shallow. I have managed to bend one in the past, by being clumsy, so be kind to it!

You mean NO slot/hole like this one
