Recently changed out the ignition cup and rotor plate. Now Im getting alot of blow by from the breather. My timing is tdc but while I had the timing cover off the timing cam shaft popped out.I was able to put it back where i believe it was.If the breather gear is slightly off will this cause excessive blow by? I thought by adjusting the timing it would correct any slight deviations from the gear
any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

What do you mean by that? Did you remove the whole cam chest cover?
Yes I had the cone off to check the tappets. The gear popped out and rather than remove the rockers I was able to get it all back by just removing one set of tappets. She starts right up and idles fine but there is a lot of blow by.If I put the timing gear back 1 or 2 teeth off I thought I would be able to compensate by adjusting the timing. I went to check the timing with the induction timing light but the clear timing plug I bought wont thread in correctly. This is where I am at now.Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

First off you need to take the cam chest back off and properly align the timing marks before you go any further.
Guessing where they should go never works.
