Cometic customer service told me it comes with the .020 set in case anyone is curious.
On a side note im looking for a set of works shocks for my bike if anyone has a set they would like to sell. I finally decided to spend the money on a set and it turns out works performance closed.....

I wouldn't buy a used set of works. Who is going to rebuild them when they get worn out or start leaking?
Talk to howard at motorcycle metal and pick up a set of ohlins. I did and it was for a reasonable price with a forum member discount.
I thought about hagons too. Case in point, all are rebuildable and from companies that are still in business

I called works performance about a week ago and to my surprise someone actually returned my call. He told me he was working on rebooting the business but was probably 6-8 months from being geared up to make shocks. But he said he had parts to rebuild a set if i could find a decent used set.
My problem is that works was the only place making shocks to fit an early softail. I have called every motorcycle shock manufacturer I could find on the internet and no one makes a shock that will fit except for ultima narrow bodies.
With that extra power we talk about upgrading the drive components but take a good look at your stator and if it shows signs of wear consider replacing it.
Here's a pic of mine after it failed. Notice the center cog in the upper left corner? The center was torn completely out of the shell. Crazy part is that it started and ran that morning and died in the lot of Black Hills HD in the afternoon.
Last time I rode it it wasn't charging again and there was noise coming from the primary so I suspect it's failed again.
Apologies for the wandering....
Hey Rizzo, mind if I ask what brand you use... I've been using Cycle electric and never an issue like that. I have had problems with cheaper after market ones though. I would say hard riding would do it though...
